Robert Thomas, MBA -- Founder, President and CEO

Mr. Thomas, a native of Michigan, has been located in the Worcester, Massachusetts area for over 20 years. Mr. Thomas graduated from Cass Technical High School in Detroit and went on to earn his undergraduate degrees from Ferris State University and Western Michigan University. Mr. Thomas earned his MBA from Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts. Before founding the Martin Luther King, Jr. Business Empowerment Center, Mr. Thomas spent over 20 years in Corporate America where he accomplished outstanding sales achievement and national prominence with a Fortune 1000 company. With his years of experience in sales, training, marketing, real estate, community organizing and entrepreneurship, Mr. Thomas saw a need in the Worcester Community and developed a vision for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Business Empowerment Center. Although the vision for the Center has become a reality and has successfully assisted business owners and individuals for over 15 years, Mr. Thomas is more than ever committed to expanding the Organization’s business and training expertise to a broader clientele. As Mr. Thomas explains, “People are people, money is green and successful business practices work for all”.

Frederick Crocker, MBA-CFO

Mr. Crocker is a graduate of the distinguished Milton Academy in Milton, Massachusetts. He received his Bachelors Degrees from Harvard University. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Assumption College. He received an MBA from Columbia University. He also served in the United States Navy where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant. Throughout his career he has brought his financial expertise to many companies serving as CFO for various organizations.

Isidore Nosike, MBA-Vice President of Training and Special Projects

Mr. Nosike was born in Nigeria and came to the United States in 1995. Prior to arriving in the United States, Mr. Nosike graduated from the MBAISE Secondary School in Nigeria. After graduation he was employed by the Nigerian Internal Revenue Service IMO. He then attended Teachers Training College and received a Teachers Grade 2 Certificate. Mr. Nosike went on to teach high school at the Sebastian Academy in Nigeria. Mr. Nosike journeyed to India where he earned his degrees in Economics and Public Administration from Punjab University at Chandigarh. Next, he attended Mysore University in Mysore, India and received a Masters Degree in Agricultural Marketing Management. After completing his studies in India, Mr. Nosike went back to his Native Nigeria where he became employed with the Nigerian Agricultural and Cooperative Bank as an Investment Officer.

In 1995 Mr. Nosike came to Worcester, Massachusetts and earned an MBA from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts. He worked at the Worcester Centrum as a warehouse manager before joining the Martin Luther King, Jr. Business Empowerment Center in 2001. Mr. Nosike’s duties at the Center have included Director of Tenant Relations, Vice President of Facilities to his current position as Vice President of Training and Special Projects. Due to the success of the Worcester MLKJ-BEC, Mr. Nosike is currently developing and implementing a second Martin Luther King, Jr. Business Empowerment Center in New Britain, Connecticut.

Tom Herald, MBA-Vice President of Business Development

Mr. Herald received his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and was subsequently commissioned as an officer in the US Air Force. He earned a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of West Florida and was licensed as a motor vehicle dealer in both Kentucky and Ohio. Tom has served on several advisory boards including his tenure as President of the Credit Acceptance Corporation Dealer Advisory Council. He has consulted and trained numerous businesses including automobile dealers, staffing agencies, real estate brokers, and finance companies throughout the country and has worked as a consultant for the 2nd largest bank in the world. He is well respected as a team building expert.

Naomi Elliot –Director of Administration

Ms. Elliot has been a member of the MLKJ-BEC organization since 2002 and currently coordinates and manages the administrative functions at the Center. As well as being an integral part of the internal operations of the Center, Ms. Elliott also oversees the Administrative Services Unit which provides fee based administrative support functions for the Worcester business community.

Anne Russo-Administrative Assistant

Ms. Russo has been a member of the Center’s staff since 2008 and assists with the administrative duties and projects that keep the organization running efficiently.

Tammy Dubois-Accountant

Ms. Dubois is a bookkeeping and payroll expert with 13 years of experience. Tammy holds the highly respected certification of QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Tammy is also a small business owner and is well equipped to understand the accounting issues that most small business owners encounter.
