TestimonialsMy name is Nicole I had came to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Business Empowerment Center (Center) in 2002 after I was laid off from my job. At that time I enrolled in the Culturally Sensitive Pre-Employment Training class where I refreshed some old skills and learned new ones. With the career counselor at the center I was able to find a job at the local newspaper as a dispatcher. The career counselor kept in touch over the years and made me feel part of the Center’s family. I was just recently laid off from the local newspaper company and once again I called the career counselor at the Center they helped update my resume and they didn’t waste any time in getting me interviews. I now am working once again. I would like to thank all those who have helped me at the Center. ~Nicole -- (Client of Training Department of MLKJ-BEC) He stands as it were unnoticed,
